Have to give a shout-out and h/t to Munich West Auto Repair in Decatur. Last Thurs. the front air strut on my E550 blew out. The next morning as I was having it towed to Munich West it looked as though the rear strut had blown out also. Mike from M-W called and said also that the rear strut was bad and needing replacement. He also commented that the rear replacement was an all-day job and I should consider replacing both rear struts to save a future labor bill, to which I agreed, probably a $2K+ bill. Mike called this morning to say that the rear strut actually was good, it held air throughout the weekend, so they replaced and charged me for only the front strut. Probably 8 of 10 shops would have just gone and replaced all three struts. It's refreshing to see this type of honesty. In the 2 years I've been going there, they've always provided master-level service at very reasonable prices. It's obvious they love the cars and always treat your car as one of their own.
